How Much Fondant Should I Use?

Fondant Coverage Chart

Use the chart provided below to determine how much fondant needed for your projects.   The amounts listed below does not include fondant used for decorations on the cake, so if you are planning to do decorations with fondant you will have to purchase more.  Before applying fondant, the cake should be covered with buttercream icing to seal the freshness and moisture and the buttercream will help adherer the fondant to the cake surface.
